ABOUT KAZURI
Named after the Swahili word for “small and beautiful,” Kazuri is a retreat of a
place of charm, tranquility and understated elegance, set in a breathtaking
natural sanctuary.
Enchanted by the serene beauty and uniqueness of Kerala’s backwaters, two
decades ago, Mr.C.P Mammen embarked on a journey to find a place that
captured this magic. After exploring numerous locations, he discovered this
hidden paradise with an expansive lakefront and a natural pond connected
to the Vembanad Lake.

Our cook who is from the locality is
proficient in looking after all your
needs. All meals, both vegetarian and
non-vegetarian, are cooked by her in-
house. The cuisine also gives the
opportunity for our guests to savor
some of Kerala’s well-known tastes and
flavors especially fresh seafood.

According to legend, Lord Ayyappa of
Sabarimala learnt martial arts from Guru
Panickar at the Cheerappanchira Kalari in
Muhamma, where he was living as
Manikandan, the adopted son of the King
of Pandalamm. The Kalari is at a walking
distance from Kazuri.
With stunning views of the lake, the serene
Pathiramanal Island and nearby activities
such as shikhara rides, speed boat
adventures, and boat cruises, this
